The 2.0 CR BiTDI with engine code CFC was used in the VW T5 Transporter and Multivan, among other models. This engine is particularly well known for excessively high oil consumption, which often leads to further damage from a mileage of around 100,000 kilometres.

We offer a professionally remanufactured 2.0 CR BiTDI CFC replacement engine that is completely overhauled at our own premises. Upon request, we can also install it in our master automotive workshop and arrange collection of your vehicle from anywhere in Germany.

From Engine Damage to Like-New Condition
We completely dismantle the 2.0 CR BiTDI CFC engine, clean it thoroughly and inspect all components for wear and damage.
We consistently replace worn or damaged components with high-quality new parts. The oil pump and the EGR system are also replaced as part of the engine overhaul.
We have the injectors inspected by a Bosch service centre. New injectors can also be installed upon request.
Crankshaft Assembly & Engine Block
The crankshaft assembly is precisely measured and the bearing shells are replaced. Depending on the extent of the damage, we bore the cylinder liners to the required oversize.
The replacement engine is then fitted with new oversize pistons selected to match the reconditioned engine block.
Cylinder Head, Exhaust Aftertreatment & BiTurbo
The cylinder head is replaced with a high-quality new unit. All components and the valve train are professionally assembled and inspected in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
Due to the frequently increased oil consumption, we recommend having the diesel particulate filter cleaned or replaced. We can also offer a new BiTurbo, a timing-belt kit including the water pump, and a new EGR cooler at attractive prices.
When a new EGR unit is installed, Volkswagen also recommends a software update. In our experience, this improves engine operation and can reduce noticeably harsh running.
Requirement: Engine Must Be Suitable for Remanufacturing
The cylinder head and engine block must not have irreparable damage such as cracks or fractures. The valves must not have broken off, and the engine must not have been assembled from damaged individual parts.
If the supplied engine is not suitable for remanufacturing, the resulting additional work will be charged separately.

Further damage often only becomes visible after the engine has been removed and dismantled. The costs of oil, oil filters, small parts or additional work therefore cannot always be quoted as a fixed amount in advance.
This may include damaged threads, defective engine mounts, work on axle components or the replacement of damaged ancillary parts. If refrigerant has to be drained, additional costs may also arise for the quantity required when refilling the system.
