Is your T4 with the 2.5 TDI engine suffering from high oil consumption, oil pressure problems, or a timing belt failure? We can help you: We offer a fully reconditioned engine including installation in our certified automotive workshop.
We exclusively overhaul the replacement engines in-house.
Here are the steps we take with the engine:
- We completely disassemble the 2.5 TDI engines, clean them, and inspect all components for wear. Any worn or damaged parts are replaced without exception.
- The crank mechanism is measured, and the bearing shells are renewed. Additionally, the cylinder liners are honed or bored to oversize, depending on the damage. The replacement engine also receives new pistons.
- We check the cylinder head for warping and plane it if necessary. We also inspect the valve guides. The valves and valve seats are reworked or replaced and then ground in. New valve stem seals are also installed.

Additional Costs
Additional costs for oil, oil filters, and small parts as well as any extra work (e.g., damaged threads, engine mounts, additional work on axle parts, replacement of defective attachments, etc.) will arise during the engine installation. For many vehicles, we also need to drain the refrigerant to perform the engine swap. We will refill this completely afterward. Costs for the missing amount of refrigerant may also arise.
For liability reasons, we do not install customer-supplied spare parts in our workshop.
We offer nationwide vehicle pickup at favorable conditions.
Note on the old engine:
Your 2.5 TDI engine must be refurbishable: This means the cylinder head and engine block must not have irreparable damage such as cracks or breaks. Furthermore, the valves must not be broken off. Your engine must also not be composed of defective parts. If your engine is not refurbishable, we will charge an additional fee for the extra work. Please note our information on overhaulability.
